Wow, I just received my latest Red Baron Antiques catalog and it says this is "The end of an era". It seems that Red Baron Antiques in Atlanta is closing their doors for good. For those of you that know Red Baron, they have an extensive inventory of large and small antiques, furniture, art, sclupture and much more.
What do you think? Will more premier antique retailers and auctioneers be giving up?

Lets Talk Antiques
What is happening to the small business retail antiques market?
I see many mom and pop antique stores closing or scaling back on retail operations. Is it because the latest generation is not interested in Antiques like previous generations? Or could it be the EBay effect? What effect do you think Ebay has had on the retail storefront antique stores?
Many of my clients have closed their retails stores and are selling exclusively online through various outlets. Sales and traffic were so low they could not keep the storefront open.
